Job summary

Regard is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for the Clinical Platform to lead AI-enabled engineering squads in NYC. You will set strategy, prioritize work, and guide technical execution while driving generative AI capabilities across the provider-facing product.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and design, ensure reliability, and help scale systems. This role reports to the CTO and supports an on-site/hybrid schedule with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years software engineering experience as an individual contributor (backend or full stack).
• 4+ years leading teams of 5+ engineers.
• Proficiency with Python or Go.
• Experience with AI coding tools and AI agents.
• Cloud infrastructure familiarity (AWS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and observability (GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD, Datadog, Sentry).
• Experience in dynamic startup/high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach AI-empowered engineering teams.
• Lead development and delivery of product features with product/design partners.
• Drive technical decisions and system design for scalability.
• Maintain production reliability and participate in on-call rotations.
• Contribute to the codebase to unblock the team.
• Drive execution of complex technical projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and clinical SMEs.
