Job summary

Genius AI in New York City seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead across multiple teams, set technical direction, and connect engineering decisions to business outcomes. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and requires commuting to our NYC headquarters with a 3–4 day in‑office cadence (Tuesdays and Thursdays required).

You will embed AI tooling into how teams work, drive complex initiatives to completion, and develop the next generation of engineering leaders while partnering

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience
• At least 3 years managing or leading software engineering teams at a high-growth tech company
• Experience integrating AI tooling into engineering workflows
• Strong architectural judgment and ability to decide trade-offs with limited information
• Proven ability to ship from 0 to 1 with product and design teams

Responsibilities

• Own execution across multiple teams and drive multi‑team initiatives to completion
• Embed AI tooling into team workflows to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Partner with product and design to own 0‑to‑1 initiatives from inception through launch
• Shape the technical vision for the domain and plan for scaling and integration
• Develop high-potential engineers toward future leadership roles
• Collaborate with Recruiting to attract and retain strong engineers and maintain high hiring standards
