Job summary

Cadence, a clinical AI company, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team building Cadence's Clinical Intelligence platform, the AI system that enables safe, evidence-based medication recommendations at scale.

This role sits at the intersection of clinical, product, AI, and design partners, translating patient data and clinical protocols into production systems trusted by clinicians, with focus on reliability and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in people management.
• Experience leading complex software products from 0 to 1, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Experience presenting technical strategy to executives and code review participation.
• Experience building backend systems on cloud infrastructure and with modern databases.
• Proficiency with Go and AI-powered development tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for the Clinical Intelligence platform.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with clinical, product, design, and AI teams.
• Oversee development of AI-powered clinical workflows integrating data, protocols, and safety rules.
• Hire, mentor, and grow a team of AI, backend, and full-stack engineers.
• Own design, development, and operation of services and evaluation frameworks.
• Establish engineering standards, testing, observability, and regulatory readiness.
• Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
