Job summary

Roku is seeking a transformational Ad Mediation leader in New York to guide architecture and strategy for our high-scale ad serving platforms. You will own the long-term vision for scalability, reliability, and performance across the mediation stack, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive monetization and platform excellence.

You will lead senior and staff+ engineers, foster collaboration, and evangelize AI-first approaches to accelerate innovation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting and building large distributed systems.
• Track record of leading senior and staff+ engineering teams.
• Staff+ technologist on complex, latency-sensitive backends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and cross-team initiatives.
• Experience fostering AI-first thinking to drive innovation.
• Advertising domain knowledge is a plus.
• AI literacy and curiosity in project work.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive a multi-year technical strategy across multiple teams.
• Own scalability, stability, and performance of ad serving mediation platforms.
• Shape product direction by understanding advertising business and monetization.
• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams to execute roadmaps.
• Hire, grow, and retain top talent in a healthy, productive environment.
• Improve developer productivity by modernizing tooling and reducing load.
