Roku is seeking a transformational leader to drive the Ad Mediation area within the Ad Engineering team. You will guide multi-year technical strategy, ensuring scalability and reliability of the ad-serving platforms that underpin Roku’s monetization.

The role requires extensive experience building distributed systems and leading senior engineers, with a focus on AI-first thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building large distributed systems and leading senior and staff+ engineers.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and initiatives.
• Experience fostering AI-first thinking within engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive a multi-year technical strategy, influencing architecture across multiple teams.
• Set the long-term technical vision and own scalability, stability, and performance of ad-serving mediation platforms.
• Shape product direction by understanding Roku’s advertising business, marketplace dynamics, and monetization strategy.
• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams to execute roadmaps.
• Hire, grow, and retain top talent, fostering a healthy environment for best work.
• Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity by modernizing tooling and reducing operational load.
