Job summary

SoTalent seeks an engineering leader to drive capital projects in industrial manufacturing, including cement, aggregates, mining or process industries. You will lead front-end engineering, feasibility, risk reviews, and investment papers to secure FID, partnering with operations, procurement, and executives.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams across process, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering and manage external consultants, ensuring safety, sustainability and best-practice design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or related technical discipline.
• 5-7+ years of engineering experience in industrial manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies and front-end engineering design activities for major industrial projects.
• Develop projects involving cement manufacturing, alternative fuels, material processing, decarbonization initiatives, production optimization, and sustainability improvements.
• Coordinate engineering activities from concept selection through project authorization and ensure designs meet operational requirements and standards.
• Manage external engineering consultants and design firms, reviewing deliverables and ensuring quality and constructability.
• Provide high-quality technical and financial inputs for decision-making and support procurement and contracting processes.

Are you an engineering leader with experience developing major industrial CAPEX projects in cement, aggregates, heavy manufacturing, mining, or process industries? This role offers the opportunity to shape multimillion-dollar projects from concept through final investment decision, driving operational excellence, sustainability, safety, and long-term enterprise value.

This role leads project feasibility, engineering studies, technical evaluations, investment documentation, risk reviews, and stakeholder alignment while ensuring projects meet operational, financial, safety, and sustainability objectives.

The position serves as the technical leader during project development phases and partners closely with operations, procurement, strategy, engineering consultants, suppliers, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Project Development

Project Strategy & Feasibility

• Lead feasibility studies and front-end engineering design activities for major industrial projects.
• Develop projects involving:
• Cement Manufacturing

CAPEX Governance

Engineering Leadership

Multidisciplinary Engineering Management
