The Project Engineer is responsible for identifying, planning, developing, and executing engineering projects that enhance plant operations and infrastructure.
This role manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with operational, environmental, and quality objectives.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, suppliers, and plant leadership to deliver long-term value through improved reliability, lower operating costs, and enhanced production performance.

Project Planning & Feasibility
- Conduct project planning and feasibility studies.
- Develop CAPEX justifications and business cases.
- Evaluate project alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
- Review supplier proposals, quotations, and technical submissions.
- Assess project financial viability and long-term business value.
Engineering Design & Technical Analysis
- Prepare engineering studies and technical evaluations.
- Develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Apply industry best practices and state-of-the-art technologies.
Drawings & Layout Reviews
- Prepare and review:
- General Arrangement Drawings
- Detailed Engineering Drawings
- Construction Documents
- Ensure all designs meet operational and engineering requirements.
- Verify design compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Prepare capital budgets and expenditure forecasts.
- Monitor project spending and control costs throughout execution.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting for project stakeholders.
Project Execution & Construction Management
- Monitor project activities to ensure work aligns with approved scope and design requirements.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Resolve technical issues encountered during installation and commissioning.
Schedule & Budget Management
- Ensure projects are completed:

- Track project progress and proactively mitigate risks.
- Report project status, milestones, and challenges to leadership.
Construction Oversight
- Monitor field activities and installation work.
- Verify compliance with project specifications and construction standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:

Safety Leadership
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Conduct risk assessments before beginning project activities.

- Support compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure engineering projects meet applicable environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Related Engineering Discipline
Experience
- 3-5 years of engineering or project engineering experience.
- Experience managing industrial capital projects.
