Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle execution of capital projects from scope development through commissioning, ensuring alignment with safety, budget, and operational goals.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently (ranging from ~$15K to $5M), including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors across engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Provide technical guidance to plant operations, maintenance teams, and junior engineers.
• Support plant performance through engineering solutions focused on reliability, production optimization, and maintenance improvements.
• Develop engineering studies, cost estimates, and project justifications for capital planning.
• Ensure all projects comply with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ASME).
• Integrate safety, environmental, and compliance considerations into all phases of project execution.
• Oversee contractors and third-party vendors, including remote coordination when required.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, cost control, and execution efficiency.

The Project Engineer will play a key role in executing capital projects ranging from small improvements to multi-million-dollar initiatives, working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, procurement, and EHS teams.

Preferred Experience

• Background in chemical processing, manufacturing, or industrial plant operations
• Experience working with capital project portfolios and cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety standards and compliance frameworks
• Proven ability to support both technical engineering work and project management responsibilities
