We are seeking a Project Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to support capital projects across multiple process plant facilities. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong foundation in chemical or industrial manufacturing environments who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
The Project Engineer will play a key role in executing capital projects ranging from small improvements to multi-million-dollar initiatives, working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, procurement, and EHS teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle execution of capital projects from scope development through commissioning, ensuring alignment with safety, budget, and operational goals
- Manage multiple projects concurrently (ranging from ~$15K to $5M), including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors across engineering, procurement, and construction activities
- Provide technical guidance to plant operations, maintenance teams, and junior engineers
- Support plant performance through engineering solutions focused on reliability, production optimization, and maintenance improvements
- Develop engineering studies, cost estimates, and project justifications for capital planning
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ASME)
- Integrate safety, environmental, and compliance considerations into all phases of project execution
- Oversee contractors and third-party vendors, including remote coordination when required
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, cost control, and execution efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of project engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or process plant environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, industrial setting
- Strong understanding of capital project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Background in chemical processing, manufacturing, or industrial plant operations
- Experience working with capital project portfolios and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety standards and compliance frameworks
