Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead and mentor multiple engineering teams focused on real-time data platforms.

You will guide architecture, implement secure production-grade Java/Spring microservices, and drive enterprise AI-assisted processes across the SDLC. You will influence senior leadership on scalable patterns, improve reliability, and optimize data pipelines while operating in a large-scale AWS environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Leader experienced in multi-team environments, managing complex technical items.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI usage in engineering workflows.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Expert-level Java, Spring ecosystem, and AWS in production environments.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices patterns.
• Experience with SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and coaching for a team of engineers across multiple teams.
• Set and scale enterprise-grade AI-assisted engineering practices and governance.
• Develop secure, production-grade Java/Spring microservices for real-time data products.
• Improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of data pipelines.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and remediation of technical debt.
• Contribute to production support and incident response.
• Share knowledge through documentation, runbooks, and tech talks.
