Job summary

Nuts.com is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our growing engineering organization and own the platforms that power our multi‑channel DTC business. You will partner with Product, Design, and Data to shape strategy, balance speed with reliability, and mentor engineers across teams.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with a focus on scale, architecture, and supplier relationships. You’ll drive improvements in velocity, toolchains, and system health while aligning roadmaps with company

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 6+ years in engineering management.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with vendor relationships and complex commerce stacks.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization.
• Drive developer velocity and tooling improvements.
• Own architecture direction across Shopify, NetSuite, and internal tools.
• Manage vendor relationships and strategic buy/build decisions.
• Protect key-person risk and nurture engineering growth.
