Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Sr. Manager, Engineering to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for designing and delivering complex services, integrations, cloud-native applications, and enterprise capabilities.

The role emphasizes strategy, structure, talent, standards, and execution discipline, collaboration across Product, Architecture, Security, Platform, Infrastructure, and leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma with 4 years relevant experience
• 8 years of progressive technology experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, enterprise engineering, engineering management, technical delivery, or related disciplines
• 4 years of prior people management experience supervising and coaching technical teams
• Experience leading multiple teams/platforms/products or domains with delivery accountability and stakeholder management
• Strong knowledge of modern software engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, SRE, automation, APIs, secure development and lifecycle management
• Ability to shape engineering practices, promote CI/CD, observability, secure development, reliability, and scalable architecture
• Experience modernizing enterprise platforms or applications, reducing technical debt and maintaining secure technologies
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and interact with all levels of management
• Budget management, vendor management, contracts, investment planning, resource planning and roadmaps preferred
• Strong communication skills for senior and cross-functional audiences

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team responsible for designing and delivering complex services, integrations, cloud-native applications, and enterprise technology capabilities
• Ensure the team has strategy, structure, talent, standards, and execution discipline to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions
• Guide major technical decisions, resolve complex risks, improve engineering practices, and support modernization efforts
• Partner across Product, Architecture, Security, Platform, Infrastructure, business, vendor, and senior leadership to align priorities and drive outcomes
• Develop leaders, foster continuous learning, and create opportunities for growth across the organization
• Drive adoption of CI/CD, observability, and scalable architecture practices while maintaining high operational reliability
