Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Sr. Manager, Engineering to lead and grow a team delivering complex services and cloud-native applications.

You will guide major engineering decisions, set standards, and drive modernization across platforms while partnering with Product, Security, Platform, and senior leadership. You will be responsible for shaping engineering practices, driving CI/CD adoption, observability, and secure development, and communicating tradeoffs to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8 years of relevant technology experience.
• 8 years of progressive technology experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
• 4 years of people management experience with direct supervision and coaching responsibilities.
• Experience leading multiple teams, platforms, or domains with delivery accountability and stakeholder management.
• Strong knowledge of modern software engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, SRE, automation, APIs, secure development, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to shape engineering practices and drive CI/CD, observability, security, reliability, and scalable architecture.
• Experience modernizing enterprise platforms, reducing tech debt, and maintaining secure, supported tech.
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and interact with all management levels.
• Experience with budget, vendor management, contracts, and technology roadmaps preferred.
• Strong communication to translate tech concepts for senior and cross-functional audiences.
