Job summary

CData Software, Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead AI-powered data connectivity initiatives. You will guide engineering teams with strong people leadership and technical judgment to deliver high-quality software quickly.

You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership on capacity, priorities, risks, and longer-term planning, fostering a shift-left approach and responsible AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering in enterprise or SaaS environments, with emphasis on technical competency and innovation.
• 4+ years of engineering management experience leading multiple teams and initiatives.
• Experience owning production services, including on-call, SLOs, incident response, and postmortems.
• Strong Java/Kotlin development experience and ability to guide backend services and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering teams, coaching and performance management.
• Develop senior engineers and emerging leaders to increase leadership capacity.
• Drive ownership from discovery through implementation with a focus on delivery.
• Partner with Engineering leadership on team structure, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Communicate progress, risks, and delivery outcomes to stakeholders.
