Job summary

Arch Energy in Massachusetts seeks a hands-on engineering leader to guide utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, and grid interconnection projects from pursuit through commercial operation.

You will build repeatable engineering practices, lead external EORs, and align design with safety, reliability, and contract compliance while supporting business development and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or related Engineering; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering and EPC delivery experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, or related power infrastructure.
• At least five years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and external EORs across multiple pursuits.
• Hands-on experience from feasibility to energization, with QA/QC and commissioning readiness.
• Strong technical and contractual negotiation experience with EPC contracts and change management.
• Experience with NEC/IEEE and utility market standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct technical strategy and design delivery from site diligence to IFC and turnover.
• Lead integration of BESS components including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA systems.
• Oversee substation scope (AIS/GIS, transformers, protection, metering, RTUs).
• Coordinate with EORs, OEMs, and owners to ensure design maturity and risk control.
• Support proposals, client presentations, and project development opportunities.
