Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking a Senior Solar Design Engineer with strong PV and BESS design background to own engineering deliverables for commercial and utility projects from 0.5 MW to 20 MW. The role requires deep NEC knowledge and the ability to work with limited day-to-day direction in a fast-paced environment.

You will conduct site assessments, prepare energy models, coordinate with Project Managers on permitting, and contribute to tool and process improvements while

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• Minimum of ten years’ relevant design experience in PV/BESS or related electrical systems.
• FE certificate.
• PRE license preferred.
• NABCEP certified.
• Experience with PV systems and energy modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering deliverables (plans, schematics, calculations, schedules) for PV/energy projects 0.5–20 MW.
• Conduct site assessments and energy models for business development and product integration.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on scheduling and permitting.
• Organize project documentation and design risks for decision making.
• Implement new tools, products, vendors, and code changes across teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
