Job summary

Solarbridge Technology Inc. seeks a Director of Microgrid and ESS System Engineer to lead system engineering for utility-scale and commercial projects across North America.

You will define architectures for BESS, PV, and grid-interactive controls, and drive proposals with partners and EPCs. The role demands deep power-electronics expertise, strong communication, and the ability to translate customer needs into technically compelling solutions while guiding product development and standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems or power electronics.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or residential solar energy.
• Minimum of 2 years in testing and product support of energy storage technologies.
• Familiarity with UL 1741, IEEE 1547, UL 9540, UL 9540A and NEC knowledge.
• Strong Modbus RTU and CANbus knowledge.
• NABCEP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support controller architecture for C&I microgrids with BESS and PV.
• Develop detailed technical proposals, system configurations, and performance analyses.
• Collaborate with sales to translate customer needs into solutions.
• Support EPC contractors in designing and engineering solar systems.
• Respond to RFPs/RFQs with technical documentation and compliance notes.
• Stay updated on codes and regulatory changes; represent the company at events.
• Provide market feedback to product teams and assist with product development.
