Job summary

Generac is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Integrated Energy Systems in Peoria, IL. You will lead electrical, mechanical, and controls engineers to deliver reliable, code-compliant power distribution solutions and manufacturable designs.

This role partners with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales, and Controls Engineering to drive technical excellence. The position emphasizes ownership, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 8 years related experience in engineering and maintenance.
• 10+ years' experience in lean manufacturing; 5 years of progressive Engineering and/or Maintenance management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical and mechanical engineers for new product development and sustaining engineering.
• Set priorities and allocate resources to balance customer commitments and manufacturing demand.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to drive alignment, integration, and successful outcomes across Generac's energy systems.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Service (DFS) improvements to simplify production and reduce cost.
