Job summary

Generac Home is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of products in Generac’s Clean Energy group in Waukesha, WI. You will guide cross-functional teams, balancing performance, manufacturability, cost, and reliability while owning engineering documentation and design records.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Proven experience with Creo for 3D modeling and ANSYS/Creo Simulate for FEA.
• Experience designing sheet metal and plastic components is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex mechanical systems.
• Provide engineering leadership throughout product lifecycles.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, specs, and reports.
• Support verification, validation, and manufacturing launches.
• Communicate status and decisions to leadership and teams.
