Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Bellevue, WA is seeking an SDET to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and API testing. You will drive high test coverage and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.

The role requires strong Core Java, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, and AI-assisted testing with LLMs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, developing and maintaining automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and API testing.
• Strong programming in Core Java including OOP, collections, exceptions, and multithreading.
• Hands-on automation with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Appium.
• Experience in API automation with REST Assured, Postman, Bruno, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency with test management/defect tracking tools (qTest, Jira, Confluence, ALM, Zephyr).
• Experience using AI tools for test generation, data, coverage, defect RCA and GenAI orchestration.
• Experience generating manual and automated test scripts with Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, and AI tools.
• Strong prompt engineering skills and experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel).
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Vector Databases, Embeddings, and AI Agent concepts.
• Ability to integrate AI/automation with Jira, Confluence, qTest, etc. via APIs.
• Analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high test coverage through automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Design and execute API test suites for REST and microservices-based apps.
• Validate requests/responses, auth, data integrity, and service integrations.
• Automate API testing using REST Assured, Postman, Bruno, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Leverage LLMs to generate test scenarios, automation scripts, data, and coverage.
• Build and optimize prompts to improve AI-generated artifacts.
• Evaluate AI outputs for compliance with standards and requirements.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate testing with GenAI tools.
• Create solutions connecting AI services with Jira, Confluence, qTest, GitHub, ServiceNow via APIs.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 6+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and API testing.
• Strong programming skills in Core Java, including OOPs concepts, Collections Framework, Exception Handling, and Multithreading.
• Hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Appium frameworks.
• Experience in API automation testing using REST Assured, Postman, Bruno, Swagger/OpenAPI, and related tools.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools such as qTest, Jira, Confluence, ALM, and Zephyr.
• Hands-on experience using LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, etc.) for:
  • Test case generation
  • Test script generation and optimization
  • Test data creation

  • Defect analysis and root cause identification
• Experience in generating manual test cases and automated test scripts using Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong prompt engineering skills, including designing effective prompts to improve the accuracy and relevance of LLM-generated outputs.
• Experience working with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, Embeddings, and AI Agent concepts.
• Experience integrating AI and automation solutions with enterprise tools through APIs, including Jira, Confluence, qTest, etc.,
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify automation opportunities and drive quality engineering initiatives.
