Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bellevue is seeking a senior QA leader to drive testing strategy and oversight across multiple projects. You will lead a team of QA engineers and automation testers, define metrics, and align testing with product timelines.

Role requires deep hands-on QA experience, strong leadership, and a track record in implementing automated testing and robust QA governance. This position is based in the United States with on-site work in Bellevue, WA.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Software QA/Testing with 4+ years in a QA leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of test management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Hands-on with JIRA, QTest or TestRail for test management and defect tracking.
• Automation frameworks/tools: Selenium, TestNG, Rest Assured or similar.
• Experience with API, Functional, Regression, Performance and UAT testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers and automation testers.
• Define and implement test strategy, plans, and quality metrics.
• Coordinate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders on testing scope.
• Oversee planning, execution, and defect management across test types.
• Drive automation adoption to increase coverage and efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs, provide status reports and risk assessments to leadership.
• Ensure test environments, data, and tools are available and managed.
• Manage resource planning, budgeting, and vendor/offshore coordination as needed.
• Champion test governance and process standardization across QA.
• Facilitate defect triage and drive root-cause analysis for production issues.

• Define and implement the overall test strategy, test plans, and quality metrics for projects and releases.
• Partner with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to align testing scope with project timelines and requirements.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and defect management for functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
• Drive adoption and continuous improvement of automation frameworks to increase test coverage and efficiency.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs, providing regular status reports and risk assessments to leadership.
• Ensure test environments, test data, and tools are properly managed and available for the team.
• Manage resource planning, budgeting, and vendor/offshore team coordination as needed.
• Champion best practices in test governance, compliance, and process standardization across the QA organization.
• Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive root-cause analysis for critical production issues.
