Job summary

Cambia Health seeks a Senior Engineer for the Semantic & Agentic Intelligence squad. You will design, build, and own semantic foundations and AI capabilities powering governed analytics, automation, and data products across the enterprise.

You will lead engineers, set technical standards, and contribute to platform strategy, with growth into principal engineering, architecture, or leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Semantic Modeling, or AI/ML Engineering with senior or lead experience.
• College degree in CS, Math, Business or related field; degree may be substituted by years of healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with a supported business area (e.g., Provider Network, Claims, Membership, Digital Solutions, Pricing).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Data and AI Engineers and drive engineering standards.
• Design, build, and own scalable dimensional models, semantic layers, and governed metric definitions for business users and AI systems.
• Develop and deploy AI agents for healthcare use cases in a governed, regulated environment.
• Build LLM/agentic applications including RAG pipelines, vector search, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration.
• Implement AI Ops practices including evaluation frameworks, guardrails, observability, and cost/performance optimization.
