Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr Engineer Supplier Development to ensure quality performance and continuous improvement across assigned suppliers. You will lead APQP/PPAP, drive risk mitigation, and use data-driven insights to influence sourcing decisions. This onsite role reports to the SDE Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
• 3+ years of supplier development experience.
• Experience with AIAG and VDA quality methods.
• Experience with soldering, SMT, end-of-line testing, or related processes.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, EMC/EMI, and traceability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the APQP/PPAP process for assigned parts and manage supplier timelines.
• Lead supplier industrialization and manufacturing-readiness activities.
• Influence peers with data-driven insights to improve quality and risk management.
• Proactively identify challenges and propose solutions to prevent production impact.
• Maintain strong relationships with direct counterparts for issue resolution.
