Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr Engineer Supplier Development to drive supplier quality and new production readiness for low voltage power distribution and charging components. The role oversees APQP/PPAP processes and uses data-driven insights to mitigate risks, with travel between domestic and international sites.

Based onsite in Irvine, CA or Plymouth, MI, this position reports to the SDE Sr. Manager - LV Power Distribution & Charging and requires 50–60% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 3+ years in supplier development.
• Experience managing electrical hardware commodities and manufacturing-readiness activities.
• Familiarity with AIAG and VDA quality methods and DFx concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own quality performance for low-voltage power distribution and charging components; maintain CL3 status.
• Lead APQP/PPAP processes; ensure on-time delivery of quality milestones.
• Proactively identify supplier risks and propose data-driven solutions.
• Influence peers through data-driven insights and final quality sign-off.
• Travel regularly (50–60%) to manage supplier relationships and onboarding.
