Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Engineer II, Key Account Technology, to serve as the primary technical interface for strategic customers and drive the introduction of epitaxy processes in high-volume manufacturing.

You will combine deep process expertise with strong customer engagement, support NPI and process qualification, and guide product development through direct customer insight while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in Epitaxy and semiconductor wafer processing tech.
Experience in semiconductor device manufacturing, process development or capital equipment industry.
Strong communication and data-driven problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting NPI, process qualification, or tech transfer activities at customer sites.
Ability to lead customer interactions and resolve escalations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical interface for key customers, supporting Epi process development and production.
Drive NPI and evaluation activities at customer sites with hands-on deployment and process improvements.
Coordinate DOE and demo activities with process teams.
Diagnose and resolve complex process and equipment issues and lead root cause actions.
Monitor equipment performance and ensure alignment with customer specs.
Align ASM solutions with customer roadmaps and future node requirements.
Collaborate with global R&D, Product Marketing and Service teams to drive product development inputs.
Support alignment between customer needs and ASM business strategy.
