Job summary

ASM International in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Senior Engineer II, Key Account Technology (KAT) to serve as the primary technical interface for strategic customers and lead technology deployments in epitaxy for high-volume manufacturing.

The role blends deep process expertise with customer engagement, supporting NPI, solving complex escalations, and translating customer insights into product development across global teams. Training in the US is anticipated to build ASM knowledge.

Qualifications

PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering/physical science field.
Hands-on epitaxy, thin film deposition (CVD/ALD/diffusion) experience.
Experience in semiconductor device fabrication and process development.

Responsibilities

Act as primary technical interface for key customers; support Epi process development and production; build relationships with customer R&D and manufacturing teams.
Drive NPI and evaluation activities at customer sites; lead deployment and process improvements.
Execute and support customer-specific DOE and demo activities with process teams.
Diagnose and resolve complex process/equipment issues; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor equipment performance; ensure alignment with customer specifications.
Understand customer roadmaps and align ASM solutions with future node requirements.
Collaborate with global R&D, Product Marketing, and Service teams to translate customer requirements into development inputs.
Support alignment between customer needs and ASM business strategy.
