Job summary

Air Force Test Center seeks a Senior General Engineer specializing in Instrumentation, Data, and Controls (ID&C) to serve as a technical lead and asset manager at Arnold AFB, TN. You will guide lifecycle sustainment, manage assets, and coordinate with the TOS contractor to ensure readiness and reliability for test operations.

The role requires a professional engineering degree (ABET-accredited), DAWIA familiarity, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Travel up to 25% may be involved.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• DAWIA Certification preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Two-year probation or one-year probation depending on appointment type.
• Knowledge of acquisition regulations and program management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ID&C technical lead and asset manager, overseeing asset condition and modernization priorities.
• Provide technical guidance for the TOS contractor on maintenance, modification, and sustainment of ID&C systems.
• Develop and prioritize lifecycle sustainment, repair, and upgrade requirements with engineering and customer teams.
• Establish and maintain technical baselines, documentation, and configuration records for assets.
• Support test planning and execution by ensuring assets meet data and measurement requirements.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies, advising senior leadership.
