Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) is hiring an Instrumentation, Data & Control (ID&C) Engineer to support AEDC at Arnold AFB, TN. You will lead advanced instrumentation, data acquisition, and motion-control projects within a multidisciplinary team.

You will design, implement, and maintain high-precision systems, overseeing integration and verification while applying control theory and software expertise. This role requires 5+ years post-degree experience, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5 years’ engineering experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and access to DoD network and AEDC LAN.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract and Air Force security mandates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and lifecycle engineering of Instrumentation, Data, and Controls systems and automated controls.
• Drive active ground test operations and real-time troubleshooting; develop verification and validation plans.
• Translate operational concepts into system requirements, specifications, and design calculations; conduct studies and analyses.
• Manage interfaces with subcontractors and equipment manufacturers; drive project schedules for on-time delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality of team deliverables; comply with PPE and safety requirements.
