Schneider Electric in Houston is seeking a Senior Engineer I, Application to design digital systems and support infrastructure for industrial customers. You will craft conceptual and detailed designs, specify equipment, and guide project teams through FAT/SAT, commissioning, and deployment.
You will mentor junior engineers, communicate results to stakeholders, and contribute to engineering standards while traveling up to 20% to sites and customers.
In this Senior Engineer I, Application role, you will provide technical designs, engineering expertise, and application development support for digital systems and associated infrastructure. You will develop conceptual and detailed application designs, support equipment selection, establish technical strategies, and contribute to standards, testing methodologies, and best practices. As a technical contributor, you will communicate technical results and solutions to internal stakeholders and customers while troubleshooting complex system issues in both laboratory and field environments. You will also provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced engineers while supporting the successful execution of customer projects.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% as required to support project execution and customer needs.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in digital systems design while consistently delivering high‑quality engineering solutions that support customer project objectives. Success will be measured through effective application design, technical problem solving, customer satisfaction, project execution support, and the ability to mentor less experienced engineers. The individual will contribute to the advancement of digital systems capabilities, improve operational reliability, and support the successful deployment of innovative technologies across a broad range of customer applications.
