Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an Electrical Protection Engineer in the United States with 4+ years of experience in protection, control, and automation projects. You will design, configure, test, and implement PCA solutions for substations, data centers, and distribution networks while collaborating across sales, PMs, and cross-functional teams.

You will promote a Safety‑First culture, lead related initiatives, and travel up to 40% domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 4+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
• Knowledge of LV/MV power systems.
• Advanced knowledge of power systems and protection schemes.
• Protection relays and relay-based ATO schemes.
• Testing protocols for feeder, transformer, bus differential, arc flash, and motor protection.
• Experience with Modbus, DNP, IEC61850 protocols.
• Experience executing complex relay-based ATO schemes over IEC61850.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically.
• Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s Medium and Low Voltage systems is a plus.
