Job summary

Schneider Electric in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Protection, Control & Automation engineer to design, configure, test, and implement advanced PCA solutions for electrical substations, data centers, and distribution networks.

You will collaborate with Sales and Project Managers, lead initiatives, and promote a Safety-First culture, with up to 40% domestic travel and hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 4+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s LV/MV power systems.
• Advanced knowledge of power systems and protection schemes; protection relays and relay-based ATO schemes; testing protocols for feeder, transformer, bus differential, arc flash, and motor protection.
• Experience and Proficiency in communication protocols: Modbus, DNP, IEC61850.
• Experience executing complex relay-based ATO schemes over IEC61850.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically.
• Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s Medium and Low Voltage systems is a plus.
