Job summary

ComEd seeks a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership in planning, design and execution of electric infrastructure projects. You will mentor junior engineers, lead complex studies, and ensure safety, reliability and compliance.

Responsibilities include field inspections, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration. A BS in Engineering or PE license and 7+ years of experience are required. Familiarity with CYMDIST, PSS/E, Python, Power BI is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of standards, codes, methods and practices in area of expertise.
Minimum of seven years of professional engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Leads and performs assignments in specialized engineering areas with state-of-the-art credentials.
Leads and performs tasks on complex projects requiring specialized knowledge across multiple areas.
Evaluates complex technical issues and recommends actions or programs for resolution.
Develops and leads projects with significant financial and operational impact; writes and performs documentation deliverables.
Provides technical training, mentorship and guidance to others.
Participates in departmental planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
Engages with industry societies to stay updated on new technologies.
