Job summary

MISO is seeking a Senior Engineer - Generator Interconnection to drive system impact studies and reliability assessments for new generation across the grid. You will manage projects from kickoff to completion, coordinating with interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring RTOs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• 4+ years of job-related experience required.
• Power system planning or operations experience preferred, with specific tools listed as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform system impact studies for generator interconnection requests in MISO's Generator Interconnection Queue.
• Review and evaluate projects proposed by Transmission Owners with technical recommendations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, communicating study results, requirements, and project details to customers, owners, neighboring RTOs, and internal teams.
