Job summary

MISO is seeking a Senior Engineer - Generator Interconnection to lead system studies for generator interconnection requests and coordinate with Transmission Owners, customers, and internal teams. You will manage projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring reliability per interconnection standards.

You will evaluate generation proposals, provide technical recommendations, and serve as a key technical resource for stakeholders. Salary ranges reflect market norms and internal pay policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is required
• At least 4 years of job-related experience
• Preferred: power system planning or operations experience, and familiarity with PSS/E/MUST/TARA/TSAT/VSAT

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform system impact studies for generator interconnection requests
• Review and evaluate projects proposed by Transmission Owners with technical recommendations
• Act as subject matter expert, communicating study results and requirements to customers and stakeholders
