Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead finite element analysis (FEA) for the repair, modification, and qualification of safety-related components in primary reactor coolant systems, supporting operating plants and AP1000 designs.

You will report to the Manager of Advanced Analysis and Methods and work in a hybrid environment in Cranberry, PA, applying ANSYS Workbench and APDL to ensure robust, compliant engineering solutions while

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or alternate engineering degree with relevant experience.
• Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench and familiarity with ANSYS Mechanical (APDL).
• Minimum 6 years of experience or 4 with an advanced degree.
• PE License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute design and analysis plans from preliminary through final design.
• Qualify component designs using ANSYS-based thermal and structural FEA and analytical methods.
• Improve analysis quality and efficiency with advanced methods and tools.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and component teams to ensure integration.
• Align technical scope, schedules, and resources across programs.
• Deliver high-quality engineering work meeting safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
