You will perform ASME Code-based calculations using FEA, qualify reactor internals, evaluate degradation, and support large projects shaping industry guidance for safe long-term operation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Engineering Mechanics with 3+ years of experience.
• Ability to read design drawings and calculation summaries.
• Willing to complete a domestic plant rotation.
• Experience with materials science is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop inspection acceptance criteria for nuclear power plant components.
• Perform calculations and apply the ASME Code using FEA and other engineering tools.
• Qualify replacement reactor internals components for plant operation.
• Evaluate degradation observed to permit continued operation.
• Support larger projects developing industry guidance for safe long-term operation.
