Job summary

Santa Clara Valley Water District is seeking a Senior Engineer in Construction Management or Geotechnical for the Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project in Morgan Hill, CA. The role focuses on coordinating construction activities, regulatory reviews, and ensuring compliance with contract documents and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring six years in construction or geotechnical engineering with leadership experience and proficiency in Procore, Primavera, and geotechnical software.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with civil engineering major.
• California PE license or ability to obtain is required.
• Six years of professional engineering experience in construction or geotechnical fields.

Responsibilities

• Oversee professional engineering functions for the construction of the ADSRP.
• Provide technical review of submittals, RFIs, and design changes.
• Coordinate with agencies, consultants, and contractors, including inspections.
• Lead regulatory reporting and interface with Dam Safety regulators and FERC boards.
• Assist with real estate acquisitions and encroachment agreements as needed.
