Job summary

Valley Water seeks a Senior Engineer to lead construction management or geotechnical engineering for the Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project in Morgan Hill, CA. The role requires coordinating with regulators, agencies, and contractors to deliver critical infrastructure safely and in compliance.

Ideal candidates have six years in public works through construction, two years of lead responsibility, and CA PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional engineering experience in public works through construction.
• Two years of lead responsibility in construction or geotechnical track.
• Valid CA Professional Engineer license (Civil Engineer for CM; Geotechnical Engineer licensed).
• Graduation from an accredited civil engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering functions for the Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and design modifications.
• Coordinate with agencies, consultants, and contractors.
• Prepare regulatory reports and inspections updates.
• Coordinate with regulators and the FERC Board of Consultants.
• Manage property acquisitions and encroachment agreements.
• Coordinate restoration with City of Morgan Hill and county agencies.
