Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Senior Engineer 2 in Seattle to lead full‑stack work on the Merchandise Ordering platform. You will own design quality, build front-end and backend services, and guide AI-enabled development across the lifecycle.

Role requires 8+ years of software delivery experience, strong JS/Framework skills, and collaboration across merchandising, planning, and supply chain teams. Candidate must be onsite at Nordstrom Seattle office at least 4 days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably computer science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional software delivery experience across full stack.
• Strong proficiency in front-end development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack solutions for Merchandise Ordering, with emphasis on PO management and integration with ERP, Planning and Supply Chain systems.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to make technical decisions and balance tradeoffs.
• Design, build, and maintain front-end applications and backend services with clean, robust code for scalable systems.
• Champion AI-enabled software development practices across the lifecycle, including AI agents and guardrails.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to support production systems.
