Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer 2 to lead data integration and analytics efforts for our Merchandise Planning SaaS platform. You will own data pipelines, build scalable integration with enterprise systems, and advance AI-enabled development practices across the team.

You will collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver reliable data, dashboards, and forecasts while guiding junior engineers and improving CI/CD, cloud migration, and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
• 8+ years of professional software delivery experience.
• Strong data pipeline and integration engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow, Python and Spark.
• Cloud data warehouse experience with BigQuery.
• Strong SQL and data modeling for analytics.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and SaaS integrations.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS planning or supply chain platforms.
• Analytics/BI experience, e.g., Looker or similar.
• DevOps practices with CI/CD and containers (Docker).
• AI-enabled software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data integration pipelines between planning platform and enterprise systems.
• Develop analytics and reporting on planning data using Looker/BI tools.
• Own data quality, reconciliation, and observability for the integration stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business goals.
• Champion AI-enabled development practices across the lifecycle, from intake to testing.
