Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, seeks an experienced engineer to plan and develop model predictive control and parameter estimation algorithms for military and commercial engine programs. You will build engine models and derive functional requirements for control laws and FDIA algorithms.

You will collaborate with internal customers, create standards for development, validation, and verification, and mentor team members across the product life cycle from concept to in-service operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 8 years of engineering experience or 5 years with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop model predictive control and parameter estimation algorithms.
• Develop engine models and functional requirements for control laws and FDIA algorithms.
• Collaborate with internal customers to identify opportunities for control law improvements.
• Create and improve standards for development, validation, and verification of control laws.
