Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie is looking for a highly motivated counsel-level attorney to join their Projects, Energy, Environment & Resources practice group in Bellevue, Washington. This role involves leading high-stakes matters at the intersection of digital infrastructure and the energy transition, with a compensation range of $245,000 to $420,000 annually.

The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of experience in energy law, strong transactional skills, and be a collaborative self-starter. Excellent mentorship and professional development opportunities are also offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in energy law.
• Ability to manage complex transactions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of wholesale power markets and transaction structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Center Power Transactions and negotiate agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on electric market design issues.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
• Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and strategies.
• Participate in client relationship management and thought leadership.
• Mentor associates within the practice group.
