This role involves leading major transactions in the energy sector and providing strategic advice on regulatory compliance and market design. Ideal candidates should have over 6 years of experience in energy law and a JD from an accredited law school.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $245,000 to $420,000 annually, along with a bonus, 401(k) plan, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in energy law.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and regulatory filings from inception to completion.
• Deep knowledge of the Federal Power Act and wholesale power markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Center Power Transactions with major developers and utilities.
• Provide strategic advice on electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the FERC and advise on compliance.
• Counsel clients on energy policy and procurement strategies.
• Participate in client relationship management and contribute to thought leadership.
• Mentor associates within the practice group.
