Job summary

BBGC in Houston seeks experienced Energy Trading Consultants to support our growing portfolio of energy and commodity trading transformation programmes. The role requires deep, industry-specific knowledge of energy trading markets and products, combined with strong business analysis and ETRM/CTRM delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Energy trading industry experience essential.
• Deep subject matter expertise in at least one energy market or product area.
• Understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle, front office, risk, operations and finance interactions.
• Experience with ETRM/CTRM implementations, transformations or major enhancements.
• Strong business analysis and solution-design capabilities.
• Ability to engage credibly with traders and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work with front office, risk, operations, finance and technology stakeholders on energy trading programmes.
• Lead workshops to capture requirements and define future-state solutions.
• Analyse and document front-to-back trading processes and product requirements.
• Provide SME on energy markets, trading products and processes.
• Translate complex trading needs into functional specs and technology requirements.
• Support design and implementation of ETRM/CTRM solutions and vendor assessments.
• Collaborate with ETRM/CTRM vendors and tech teams to identify constraints and options.
• Produce high-quality BRDs, FE designs, process maps and docs.
• Provide leadership to drive practical, targeted solutions.
