Charles River Associates is seeking a Senior Associate in its Energy Practice in Boston. The role involves leading analyses, guiding client discussions, owning workstreams, and developing practical recommendations for executives across energy markets and regulation.

You will collaborate with senior experts, contribute to business development, and mentor junior team members while delivering quantitative and qualitative insights that shape client decisions.

Qualifications

• Energy industry experience and capability to translate data into recommendations.
• Strong analytical and communications skills for executive audiences.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and deliver practical recommendations.
• Experience leading workstreams and mentoring junior staff.
• Experience with business development and client interactions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across all phases of client engagements, from defining questions to developing recommendations and supporting implementation.
• Evaluate complex energy client challenges and translate data into clear insights and actionable guidance.
• Manage project workstreams, plan work, coordinate juniors, deliver high-quality materials.
• Present findings to mid- and senior-level clients to build consensus and inform decisions.
• Lead and coach junior consultants, provide feedback and development opportunities.
• Support business development through proposals and identifying client needs.
