Charles River Associates is expanding its Energy Practice in the United States, seeking senior-level consultants with deep expertise in regulation, utility finance, and transactions. You will advise utilities before regulators, manage complex projects, and provide strategic insights drawn from extensive industry experience.

The role requires at least 6 years in related consulting or in-house settings, with strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to work in an unstructured

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is required.
• A master’s degree is desired.
• The ability to independently manage consulting teams and complex assignments with limited oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.
• Excellent writing and communication and presentation skills.
• Publications that demonstrate positioning as a thought leader in the industry would be considered a strong asset.
• Comfort working in an unstructured environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory services to utilities and other energy firms before regulators.
• Lead and manage complex consulting engagements and projects.
• Offer strategic guidance in regulation, utility finance, and transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client outcomes.
• Represent clients in docketed regulatory proceedings and provide testimony when needed.
