Barton Malow is seeking a Sr. Superintendent for a battery energy storage project in Coldwater, MI.

This role requires full-time on-site leadership, travel flexibility, and collaboration with on-site staff to deliver safe, on-time results. You will lead safety planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with trade partners, reporting progress to project management and ensuring compliance with project scopes and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• 15+ years of industrial and energy project experience.
• Strong organizational skills and understanding of contracts and legal provisions.
• Ability to manage change and adapt to new processes.
• Capable of multitasking while maintaining customer relationships.
• Strong leadership to oversee trade partner performance to high-quality standards.
• Urgency and effective problem-solving in complex issues.
• Diplomatic, clear communication and conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing work scopes and front-end documents for bidding and qualification.
• Enforces corporate safety policies on the job site and ensures safety compliance.
• Organizes and manages day-to-day on-site labor, coordinating contractor work.
• Supports the Project Manager in budget management and forecasting.
• Develops site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize disruption.
• Establishes and implements the project baseline schedule with input from subs.
• Leads pull planning and provides six-week look-ahead progress reports.
• Communicates daily issues and progress to Project Managers and stakeholders.
