Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is actively seeking a Project Manager III to join our Generation & Energy Management team in Atlanta, GA or other listed locations.

You will guide complex energy projects from planning through delivery, partnering with clients to optimize power systems, district energy networks, and renewable technologies to drive value. The role requires a PE license, 9+ years in industry with 6+ in PM, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or related field.
• 9+ years of industry experience, including 6+ years in project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience with substation design, district energy, or power generation projects is preferred.
• Design engineering experience is preferred.
• Ability to manage client relationships and interpret contract requirements.
• Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and closeout documents.
• Experience with project accounting: forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Vision.
• Leadership and collaboration skills; ability to travel as needed.
• Consulting industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal development and create clear scopes, schedules, and budgets with technical teams.
• Serve as the primary client partner, addressing needs and ensuring strong communication.
• Develop WBS and coordinate tasks across multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls.
• Oversee project financials including budgets, forecasts, revenue, and cash flow.
• Direct contract administration and subcontractor coordination.
• Lead regular project meetings and provide progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Support marketing efforts and growth of CHA's Generation & Energy Management portfolio.
