Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager III to lead energy-related projects across multiple locations including Albany, NY. You will guide projects from planning through delivery, coordinating with engineers, designers, and clients to optimize performance and value.

The role requires a PE license, 9+ years in energy or related PM roles, and the ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or related field.
• PE license required; consulting experience preferred.
• 9+ years in industry with 6+ years PM experience.
• Experience with substations, district energy, or power generation preferred.
• Experience preparing proposals, project plans, and closeout documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal development with clear scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Serve as primary client partner and ensure strong communication.
• Develop WBS and direct task coordination across teams.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls.
• Oversee project financials including budgets, forecasts, revenue, and cash flow.
• Direct contract administration and subcontractor coordination.
• Lead meetings and provide progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Support marketing efforts and growth of CHA's Generation & Energy Management portfolio.
