Job summary

Veregy, a leading decarbonization firm, seeks a Project Engineer III to identify and develop Energy Conservation Measures and Facility Improvement Measures for guaranteed energy savings projects. This role requires an innovative engineer who can create accurate scopes, assess energy savings, and drive M&V planning.

You will lead project development with operations, prepare detailed estimates, and supervise the bidding and implementation phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years' experience in energy-related field with ECM development.
• Professional Engineer Licensure.
• Certified Energy Manager credentials highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience desired.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Communicates regularly with team on project development progress and issues.
• Analyze facility utility consumption and set preliminary energy targets.
• Conduct facility walk-through to identify scope items.
• Participate in project meetings across all phases.
• Evaluate and apply engineering techniques and criteria on projects.
• Create development timeline, budget, and control index.
• Provide facility descriptions, Energy Profile and ME&V explanations.
• Identify potential energy savings, rebates, or incentives.
• Engage third-party consultants for design review.
• Develop scopes of work, specs and implementation schedules.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and rebid as needed.
• Finalize project estimate and energy savings calculations.
• Validate Energy Savings Guarantee and M&V Plan.
• Assist with Final Contract preparation and turnover meetings.
• Review submittals for conformance with contract documents.
• Support Project Manager during Construction.
