Job summary

Veregy seeks a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy-modeling efforts and M&V planning for complex decarbonization projects. You will develop and validate energy savings baselines, prepare IPMVP-compliant plans, and review savings calculations with a focus on guaranteed savings and risk management.

The role involves collaboration with development, operations, and client teams, with periodic presentations of engineering details and quantified savings. Travel up to 20% domestically is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or architectural engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of energy-engineering experience, preferably ESCO/performance contracting.
• DOE IAC program preferred.
• Experience with energy-modeling software (eQuest, TRACE 3D Plus, HAP) preferred.
• Experience with EnergyCAP, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Python, R, Power BI beneficial.
• Ability to identify, scope, and calculate savings for ECMs.
• Experience with weather-normalized regression models, interval data, baseline development.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy-savings modeling and review of savings calculations.
• Develop and validate energy and operational baselines.
• Prepare IPMVP-compliant M&V plans and reports.
• Coordinate with commissioning, construction, and operations teams.
• Present engineering details to clients when required.
• Support risk mitigation and savings reconciliation after project completion.
